Who are we? Which is our place in the world? These questions and more, are the starting point of a unit of inquiry about “what means to be human” and, in which our Kindergarten students are working in.
First of all, they drew themselves on a big canvas to observe the way they are, for example, their height or the color of their hair or their eyes.
After that, they had to inquiry about their family by bringing pictures of their relatives.
By creating a family tree, they explained to their peers the different people that compounds their immediate family.
At this stage, our kids start to learn more about the nature of the self in order to be more aware about their beliefs, values and responsibilities and, of course, about their place in the world.
