HIGH SCHOOL
At our American secondary school, we continue preparing our students so that, in their next educational stage, they can successfully meet the challenges of the Diploma Program.
Our students learn and develop their knowledge, following the American educational model. During this stage of secondary education in English, students gradually gain greater independence in their study, guided by their teachers. All of this is aimed at ensuring that, in the future, they are able to face any challenge ahead of them.
At Casvi International American School, we care deeply that our students feel comfortable and integrated into our English-language secondary school. Thanks to our native English-speaking teachers specialized in Secondary Education, we provide young students with the support and motivation they need.
Diagram of our methodology
Casvi International American School is an authorized center for all three International Baccalaureate Programs.
This official diagram of the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) shows the units of inquiry that our students work on during this stage. We stimulate learning in science, art, design, mathematics, language acquisition, physical education, language and literature, and individuals, and societies.
We present different units of inquiry and, through each one, we foster students’ curiosity toward a wide range of educational topics that are relevant to society.
High School: American School
Our English-language educational system is based on the American educational model: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.
This stage of Secondary Education is framed within the IB Middle Years Program (MYP). It encourages students to establish practical connections between their studies and the real world. This prepares them to achieve success in their future education and lives.
Inquiry continues to be the cornerstone of our teaching methodology. We provide students with the necessary tools to investigate and to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
This stage concludes with the completion of the Personal Project. It consists of several months of work on an investigation into a topic chosen by the student, followed by the development of a project that the student presents to the rest of the educational community.
Foundations of our international education in the American High School
English continues to be the language of instruction at all educational stages. At Casvi International American School, we offer a full linguistic and cultural immersion, following the American curriculum. All subjects are taught by native English-speaking teachers, which allows students to experience complete language immersion.
As an English-language secondary school, Spanish is taught only in the subjects of Spanish Language and Culture.
In addition, the learning of other languages such as Chinese and German is encouraged.
