As a result of our mission to offer our students all the necessary tools to achieve their academic goals, we have organized the XIII Casvi Universities Fair. This event, held yesterday at the sports center of the Casvi Villaviciosa International School, brought together more than 40 academic institutions.
Students from Grade 10 to Grade 12 or Diploma Programme (IB), have had the opportunity to learn about the methodologies, studies and experiences of more than 40 academic institutions, both public and private, national and international. In addition, they have had the opportunity to solve all their doubts about their new educational stage with the experts.
Decisions Made in Slow Motion
The purpose of this initiative is for each student to explore the different possibilities that exist today, so that they can make the best possible decision based on their strengths, skills and career goals. In this way, we try to avoid the risk of dropping out of college and to make them feel happy with their career choice. Our goal is for each student to become a successful professional and to feel fulfilled and prepared for their future.
Continuous Vocational Guidance
However, this activity is not an isolated case, but is part of the actions undertaken by the school’s Guidance Department, which accompanies students in their reflection on their professional vocation throughout the school year. Some examples of these initiatives are:
Pedagogical activities aimed at making them aware of and assessing their own aptitudes and interests. In this way, students are able to make better decisions about their professional future.
Information sessions aimed at families and students, where the different educational and employment options are presented.
Interviews and individual meetings with students to provide them with a safe space to discuss their educational concerns and interests.
“Training in the present for jobs of the future”. From Grade 10, through a psychological test, we propose to students, in a specialized way, five possible future professions that fit their profile. At the same time, we advise them on the academic training necessary to achieve them.
