The month of July kicks off with one of the most exciting experiences for our students: Casvi Nature Camp, the camp for the summer bilingual program held in the natural setting of the Sierra de Gredos, specifically in Arenas de San Pedro (Ávila). Over the next two weeks, they will enjoy some sports, socializing, independence, and improvement in the language.
This program is designed to help students disconnect from their urban routine and build on their individual strengths through direct contact with the environment, fostering an open mindset and a spirit of inquiry outside the classroom.
Community and personal development in a unique environment
This year, the Nature Center is welcoming children and students from Grade 1 through Grade 8—that is, from the PYP through some of the MYP.
Far removed from the screens and the rhythm of the city, the attendees spend time together in a setting surrounded by mountains and rivers. The team of professionals and educators from the center supervise every day, ensuring the well-being of the students and promoting self-management and critical thinking when it comes to solving small everyday challenges as a community.
Inmersión lingüística en inglés y deportes de aventura
The approach of bilingualism allows the camp to be not just a place for recreation, but also a place to continue learning. The students absorb the vocabulary and improve their fluency in English in an organic way.
The program takes advantage of the resources of the environment to develop a comprehensive plan for physical activities and exploration:
Sports, equestrian and mountain sports: Trails for horseback riding, day trips hiking excursions and climbing sessions tailored to every age.
Water activities: Kayaking and paddleboarding in calm waters.
Strategy and social interaction: Themed gymkhanas, cultural field trips, and games held at night are designed to foster teamwork.
In addition to exercise every day, comprehensive care includes a diet of high quality, with menus that are entirely homemade and prepared with local and sustainably sourced produce.
Daily tracking for families
To enable parents to stay involved in their children’s learning and development, the camp will provide ongoing updates. Through the Casvi Villaviciosa Facebook page and Casvi Tres Cantos on Instagram, a photo gallery will be updated daily, offering a glimpse into the achievements, activities, and memorable moments of this summer camp.
In addition, this year, as a new feature, we’ve created an Instagram profile dedicated exclusively to the day-to-day life at camp. You can check it out below:
