The last year of high school has always been considered one of the most stressful school years, not only because of the workload and study demands, but also because it serves as a prelude to what comes next: university, a higher vocational course, and so on.

It’s a year when nerves and doubts surface, and students feel like they’re racing against the clock to decide what they want to study and how they want to spend their working lives over the coming decades.

More Conscious Decisions

In this context, the Guidance Department at Casvi International American School conducted one of its flagship tests this morning: the vocational guidance test for Grade 12 and Diploma Program 2 students. The aim of this test is to provide students with as much information as possible so that they can make more informed decisions about their academic and professional future.

“The purpose of the school is to ensure that our students, in addition to choosing a profession they are passionate about, are prepared to work in sectors with high employability, facilitating their future entry into the labor market. The professional and educational landscape is evolving rapidly, and it is essential that the guidance they receive is aligned with current and future demands,” the Department itself points out.

After completing the questionnaire, students receive a report with their results. Not only will they be able to see which profession best suits their interests and skills, but the report also includes the academic path they must follow to achieve it. In other words, it tells them which university degree or vocational training they should pursue, as well as other complementary courses or master’s degrees.
