School Diary 34: Social Skills Development in Pre-School

Pre-K2 students have worked on the Unit of Inquiry “How we organize ourselves” and they discussed “what makes us a good friend”.

They reflected on social relationships with the help of two muppets and by reading a story together. During the class, students expressed their emotions and talked about friendship.

This aspect of childhood development is very important for a child’s social/emotional skill set and is directly correlated with their long-term academic success.

Our students understand how we should have appreciation and respect for each other!
