School Diary 33: Performing Arts in Primary School

Theatre, music, dance, object manipulation, and other kinds of performances are present in all human cultures. Performing arts are a form of art in which people use their voices, bodies, or inanimate objects to convey artistic expression.

So, which are its benefits for PYP students?

The performing arts aim to express one’s emotions and feelings, to improve language skills, and develop creativity and reflection, among others. Specifically, performing arts within the PYP provides to our students a means of expression of both emotional and intellectual perspectives and a vehicle for wondering, reflecting, and consolidating.

During these days, they keep learning through their on-line classes working on some very familiar scripts.
