#PYPX2021 Exhibition at Casvi International American School

We bid farewell to the school year with one of the most anticipated events for the entire Casvi community: the PYP (IB) Exhibition. Our 6th graders presented their exhibitions and demonstrated that they are aware that action leads to change in our world. It was a pleasure to see the diversity of their inquiries, the depth of their learning, and how much each of our students has grown from their own experience.

The IB Primary Years Program (PYP) enables our students to shape and develop themselves to express their opinions, make choices, and take responsibility for their own learning. The educational approach underpinning this program is a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based curriculum framework that develops conceptual understanding.

Why teaching the PYP?

The PYP curriculum begins with a clear premise: students are agents of their own learning. This means that each student uses his or her own initiative to take responsibility for his or her own learning through reflection, inquiry, and conceptual understanding.

At Casvi International American School we focus on the integral development of each student. By offering them a transformative experience, our Casvi students are able to actively participate in an integrated and continuous assessment, thus effectively regulating their own learning.

Guided by six transdisciplinary topics of global importance, students extend their learning by developing their conceptual understanding, enabling them to strengthen their knowledge and skills in all disciplinary areas.
