Last Saturday, September 26th, Guillermo, Hugo and Luis celebrated what was undoubtedly one of the most special days of their lives. Nervous and a little bit shy, but eager after such a long wait, they arrived at the Parish Church Nuestra Señora de la Fe, where both their family and members of the educational community of Casvi International American School were waiting for them.
Our 4th Grade students finally left behind the uncertainty that has been hanging over the minds of thousands families in our country during several months. Thanks to the great effort of the entire educational community of Casvi International American School, Guillermo, Hugo and Luis were able to fulfill their wish and make their First Communion together with their loved ones.
Surrounded by a small group of close relatives, and carefully respecting the necessary security measures, our students and their families were able to live a special day for all of us.

Under a smiling and emotional atmosphere, the families appreciated the possibility of celebrating this great day. The hard months of confinement are now behind us. At Casvi International American School we worked tirelessly for only one goal: to avoid again the postponement of this day because of the COVID-19, a fact that five months ago displeased our families. Therefore, the entire educational community ensured that the event took place in the best conditions of safety and respect all health standards: hand hygiene at the entrance and exit, social distancing on the benches, ventilation of the place, mandatory use of a mask … In fact, our students showed that they were fully aware of the importance of complying with health standards, since they only discovered their mouths when they received the Body of Christ.
Tears, love and a lot of emotion was what we were able to experience last September 26th. In part, thanks to our beloved Father Juan Román, who, as is his habit, received our students with a special emotion and illusion. It was not for less. After many months of waiting, everything was prepared in detail for the great occasion. Father Juan Román, as the usual officiant of the ceremony, managed to provoke more than one tear of emotion among the attendees when he dedicated special words remembrance for all those who are no longer with us because of the pandemic; as well as for those who, due to the restrictions marked by the Government, could not accompany the kids on their special day.
Our catechist, Ms. Esther Marquez, could not miss this great event. She helped our students with her characteristic sweetness on their big day. Without a doubt, it was a celebration that has united our entire educational community in both preparation and celebration. Although COVID-19 was the backdrop, all of us present felt a great emotion that we will soon forget, as our Director Virginia Caballero said, “after a long time, this special day for all of us has arrived. We are very proud of our students.
At Casvi International American School we are completely sure that, despite the distance, families, teachers and the entire educational community accompany our students in feeling, emotion and with much joy, who undoubtedly lived a day that will remain in their memory forever.
