At Casvi International American School we celebrate the International Week of Languages to foster an open mind among all of our students. Today it is the turn of Italy and 1st graders inquired about the culture and history of this Mediterranean country.
Each one of them brought to the class a curious story about Italy related to its architecture, main cities and, food. They put into practice their communicative skills talking about what they discovered to their peers.
After collecting all the ideas, they worked cooperatively to visually depict what they had in mind about Italy in a cardboard.
Meanwhile, in our dining room, Italian special menu for today consisted of risotto with mushrooms and fish Milanese style.
Our students also enjoyed the chocolate ice cream that was the first thing to run out!
During the International Week of Languages, our students have developed their international profile by investigating, experimenting and having fun while discovering other cultures. Our goal is to teach them to appreciate the differences with critical thinking and know how to value the richness of each of them and as a whole.
