At Casvi International American School we celebrate the International Week of Languages to foster an open mind among all of our students. Today it is the turn of the United States and 2nd graders strengthen their creative writing skills in English through a different class.
First of all, they participated in a tongue twister contest in which they improved their pronunciation in English while having fun.
After that, they had to write an original tongue twister on their own by putting their phonics, grammar and reading skills into practice.
During this week, our kitchen team has prepared a menu of lunch specials each day according to the country we are celebrating. As far as we’re concerned, food is one of the best ways to teach kids about culture.
So our students enjoyed a Bacon Burger with chips and a very big donut!
And not only them, but our native English teachers were also closer home today.
