International Baccalaureate, an excellent baccalaureate for all

International Baccalaureate, an excellent baccalaureate for everyone

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program used to be reserved only for the best students. However, today, thanks to the IB Continuum of Programs (PYP, MYP, DP) offered at schools like Casvi International American School, our students can begin preparing for this Diploma Program as early as age 3. From an early age, the acquisition of skills and aptitudes that will be useful to face the challenges of the future is encouraged.

Therefore, what are the objectives of the International Baccalaureate Continuum of Programs and what benefits does it generate in the students of Casvi International American School?

Objectives of the International Baccalaureate Continuum of Programmes

The IB Continuum of Programs opens up a world full of possibilities for our students. This methodology has a series of characteristics such as: active, close, real, effective and adapted to the current global situation.

Thus, taking the three International Baccalaureate Programs (MYP, PYP and DP) is very beneficial for the students of Casvi International American School.

-From an early age, it prepares them to face the different challenges and situations that may arise in their lives.

-It is an individualized program that stimulates their curiosity for research.

-It encourages them to think critically and independently and to be the direct agents of their own learning.

-It helps them to learn about cultural differences by learning new languages. All this will allow them to better adapt to the globalized world in which we live.

In short, thanks to the IB Continuum of Programs, students receive an international, intercultural and inclusive education that encourages them to achieve their academic and personal goals.

In continuous change

In 2017 Casvi International American School was born, which is part of the Casvi Educational Group together with Casvi Boadilla and Casvi Villaviciosa. All of them carry innovation and educational quality in their DNA. Today, it is one of the few schools in Spain that has the three International Baccalaureate Programs. “We educate students who are aware of the need to collaborate in the difficult task of making our planet a place of peace within the framework of mutual understanding and intercultural respect”, says Juan Luis Yagüe, CEO of Grupo Educativo Casvi.

In addition, the Continuum of International Baccalaureate Programs offers the optimal coherence and coordination to offer quality education from an early age. “Inquiring, expressing, representing and sharing make it possible to achieve a quality education from the first year of life. Thanks to this, they end up assuming a series of values, skills, contents and multiple competencies, essential in the future to develop personally, emotionally and professionally,” he continues.

“From the early age of 3, we face challenges in musical and plastic arts, sports, robotics, drama… Working collaboratively and applying learning as the culmination of the processes, to real situations and contexts,” adds Juan Luis Yagüe.

Fruits of the International Baccalaureate Methodology

“The opportunity we have to model the attributes of the IB profile from the age of 3 contributes to our students being inquirers, good communicators, informed and educated, well-rounded, balanced, thinkers, bold, open-minded, caring and reflective. These attributes also foster in them an international, responsible and human mentality, which goes beyond the knowledge that has traditionally been learned at school”, continues explaining the CEO of Grupo Educativo Casvi.

Thus, “at Casvi, we develop teaching and learning approaches that, throughout the PYP and MYP Programs, turn students with diverse abilities into candidates prepared to take the demanding Diploma Program”. A program that is recognized worldwide and opens the doors to the best universities in the world.

“La ventaja competitiva de una sociedad no vendrá de lo bien que se enseñe en sus escuelas la multiplicación y las tablas periódicas, sino de lo bien que se sepa estimular la imaginación y la creatividad”.
