6th grade students have visited Estampa Contemporary Art Fair 2019 to acquire a more real perspective of the current artistic context through field research.
Reflecting on real-life approaches and applications of what we see in the classroom is key for the students’ understanding of the subject. Our students interacted with curators giving their point of view towards the pieces and understanding the “why?” and “how?” of the artists when creating them.
The main objective of this visit is to bring students closer to the contemporary art scene and encourage them to continue their inquiry process within the MYP Art Cycle.
Art, after all, affects and influences a great part of our Visual Culture, and becoming aware of these influences will enrich their cultural and social awareness.
