Inquirer, communicator and open-minded. These are the attributes of the IB profile that Grade 2 students have developed through the Unit of Inquiry “How the World Works”.
First of all, they had to investigate a country they freely chose and explain in an essay all the features and characteristics of the country, such as culture, religion, mother tongue or politics.
Secondly, they have improved their oral language skills. They presented their essays in front of the rest of the class taking into account 4 tips: make an introduction, speak clearly, good speed and volume of the speech and, make eye contact with the audience.
At the end of the class, they helped each other to evaluate their essays and presentations, as a critical exercise to do their own self-assessment.
They have done a great job!
