Family and school, together at Casvi International American School

Collaboration between family and school at Casvi International American School is fundamental. Education should be a shared task between parents and educators and should have as its objective the integral formation of the children.

The union between family and school is key to provide children with the best and most complete education possible. Schools must accept and encourage the participation of parents in the education of their children. To do this, a direct and trusting relationship must be established between the families and the school.

This is what we do at Casvi International American School where families are part of the day-to-day life and activity of the school.

Parents’ role

Parents and the family play a fundamental role in the education of their children. They must support the educational work carried out by the center and thus allow the children’s skills and aptitudes to develop. But they should not limit themselves only to offering this support; they should also be an active part of the learning process and dedicate time to it. Moreover, there are several studies that affirm that students perform much better if their parents are involved in their education.

Teacher’s role

Teachers are the ones who accompany students on a daily basis throughout their long educational stage. They are the ones who best know the children’s possibilities and who can provide them with the necessary tools for their development both inside and outside the school. In addition, they must be the direct communication link between family and school, therefore, their work is fundamental.

This is the relationship between family and school at Casvi International American School.

At Casvi International American School we believe that family and school should maintain a relationship of trust, transparency, coherence, responsibility and commitment, characterized mainly by a participative and active attitude on both sides.

It is essential that parents can get involved, attend and participate in the different activities and proposals made by the school in order to foster a good climate of trust and respect.

Thus, families play an important role in our school and participate in many of the activities that we organize each year such as: decorating the hallways, talks and exhibitions in the classrooms or the fun Family Day with which we celebrate the end of the school year.
