At Casvi International American School, October is synonymous with Halloween!!<\/strong> For weeks, the entire school \u2014 teachers, students, and families alike \u2014 threw themselves into preparing for this celebration we all love so much. And the big day definitely lived up to the excitement: the traditional Halloween parade, trick-or-treating around the classrooms, the pumpkin contest, the mask exhibition, and spooky story readings. You practically needed a calendar just to keep up with it all! <\/p>

In addition, the entrances of all three school buildings were decorated with ‘D\u00eda de Muertos’ altars<\/strong>, beautifully designed and set up by our students with the help of their teachers.<\/p>

The Director of Casvi Schools, Juan Luis Yag\u00fce, together with other faculty members and heads of schools, attended the IB Global Conference<\/strong> in The Hague, where participants reflected on the role of education in a constantly changing world.<\/p>

On another note, some of our teachers also took part in the Top Voces Educaci\u00f3n conference<\/strong>, organized by ACADE Educaci\u00f3n Privada, where they discussed the current challenges in education. All of this reinforces our commitment to providing high-quality education. <\/strong> <\/p>

Our little ones have kicked off fall <\/strong>in style! From learning various art and drawing techniques using fall-inspired materials to visiting Tres Cantos Park to explore all the different types of leaves. <\/p>

In Kindergarten, they delved deeper into Chinese culture thanks to a presentation on the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival<\/strong> given by a student\u2019s mother.<\/p>

In Grade 2, they are learning the differences between cities and towns and how urban areas are organized, using models they built themselves from recycled materials.<\/p>

This month, we celebrated World Teachers\u2019 Day and World Library Day<\/strong>, so we wanted to hear what our students and teachers think about them.<\/p>

In sports, our youngest students have dusted off their swimsuits for swimming lessons<\/strong>, while Middle School students have been practicing non-contact American football.<\/strong><\/p>

As for the older students, through the CAS program<\/strong>, they spent the month participating in various activities: from setting up Halloween decorations to reading alongside their younger peers in Early Years.<\/p>

Trips to museums, conference, and more<\/strong>, were also part of the fun. A really enjoyable way to learn! <\/p>
