After a year of waiting, one of the most special and fun days of the year returns to Casvi International American School: Halloween!
Our students and teachers showed off their terrifying costumes in Casvi’s traditional annual Halloween parade. They also took part in the Jack-o’-Lantern Contest, and even went trick-or-treating with the bags they designed in Arts and Crafts class!
In addition, the Grade 10 Art and Spanish for foreigners students jointly organized an exhibition of masks and scary stories. Several classmates attended the event as spectators.
Meanwhile, the older students enjoyed an afternoon of music and dancing in the sports hall.
An excellent opportunity to learn.
As an American school, this date has great significance for us. Not only because it allows us to unleash our creativity, but also because it is a fun way to learn more about Anglo-Saxon culture.
This year, our students also created their own altar to commemorate the ‘Día de Muertos’. It was a unique opportunity to learn more about this ancient Mexican tradition.
At Casvi, Halloween doesn’t just happen on one day, but is a process that is carried out over weeks. The decoration of the entire school is designed and created by our students, both from PYP, as well as from MYP and High School.
As always, we want parents to be an active part of our celebrations. That’s why we have invited them to help set up the decorations and hand out candy during trick-or-treating. We had a great time together!
