The celebration of San Isidro at Casvi International American School has demonstrated that international education and local roots go hand in hand. Students, teachers, and families have come together at Casvi to enjoy a traditional cocido from Madrid, share the folklore (including chotis and chulapos , and chulapas), and the spirit of community.
Fortalecemos los vínculos con familias
We are strengthening our ties with families
At Casvi, we know that education goes beyond the classroom, and these moments of encounter are essential for creating a strong community.
The meal has been an opportunity for families to share experiences in the school environment, strengthening that sense of belonging. The high level of parent participation underscores our educational community’s commitment to the values of coexistence and respect.
Celebrating cultures brings us closer together, and because of that, the students were able to go that day dressed as chulapos and chulapas. Among the teachers, there were also some who were able to be seen wearing white and red carnations, a symbol of San Isidro and of the Madrid tradition.
