ADMISSIONS CASVI TRES CANTOS

News by Casvi Is Filled with Gratitude!

Alumnas de Casvi International American School celebrando Acción de Gracias

November is the month of gratitude in the United States, and at Casvi International American School as well. Over the past few weeks, our students have explored and learned about the meaning and origins of Thanksgiving, a centuries-old American tradition. And on the big day, students, teachers, and families prepared delicious apple pies—the signature dessert of this holiday. We also enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

On the other hand, to highlight the more than 30 nationalities that come together at Casvi International American School, we celebrated Intercultural Week. Throughout the week, Early Childhood and Elementary parents visited the classrooms to share traditional games from their home countries. We played just as they do in the Netherlands, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, and Spain. In MYP, our students carried out in-depth research on a sport or artistic activity typical of a country connected to their family heritage.

And in High School, they organized the “Same Sky: Equality Exhibition”, a powerful space to reflect on gender equality and reducing inequalities, two of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Likewise, we collected nearly 500 kilos during the Christmas food drive.

Our teachers attended ten official IB workshops led by ACBIE at Casvi Villaviciosa, demonstrating our commitment to quality education.

We also celebrated the Book Fair; International Children’s Day, asking them what they enjoy most about being a child; and Saint Cecilia’s Day, the patron saint of music, with two Christmas carols—one of Basque origin and the other Ukrainian.

The youngest students learned more about farm work and even got to ride a tractor during their trip to Monjarama Garden.

The Guidance Department has also conducted various activities to strengthen teamwork and support social-emotional learning in the classrooms.

DP1 students had two very intense—but highly enriching—days with Universidad Europea. They participated in two hands-on workshops: one on medicine preparation and another on a UN negotiation simulation. In addition, they took part in the #Reto2030 challenge, competing alongside other schools.

Our CAS students are helping to modernize the organization system of our library.

And in Physical Education, our students are developing values such as teamwork and team spirit through sports activities.

Trips to museums, department stores, factories, and more have also been part of our program—a fun way to learn!
