The first month of this new year has arrived with a bang. Our students, from Grade 1 to Grade 11 and DP1, enjoyed an unforgettable week skiing in Andorra. Meanwhile, even those who stayed at school got their chance to play in the snow, thanks to the huge snowfall in Tres Cantos.
Likewise, our school warmly (and diplomatically) welcomed the very first edition of CasviMUN, a Model United Nations where our students spent two days as delegates from different countries, debating, negotiating, and seeking solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.
Meanwhile, our older students have participated in several career guidance events, such as a talk by Sophia Sampaio, the Director of Humanities at Instituto de Empresa (IE) o, and the 14th Villaviciosa University Fair. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to get answers to their questions about the future ahead.
On the other hand, our little ones in PreK-2 shared with their classmates the family traditions they celebrate during the holidays. Meanwhile, in Kindergarten, they “traveled” to numerous countries across diferent continents… all without ever leaving the classroom!
In Grade 6, they had a science lesson led by one of their Grade 10 classmates as part of her personal project. They even got to see a beating heart in the human body model she created herself.
Meanwhile, in Nursery, the little ones continue discovering the world around them—this time, the artistic side. Thanks to an experiment by one of the parents, they explored color, movement, and cause-and-effect using marbles, straws, bubbles, and paint. And in their Makerspace class, Grade 2 students built balloon-powered cars!
Likewise, the entire school, including teachers and families, took part in a charity run organized by Fundación Unoentrecienmil. The funds raised will go toward research on childhood leukemia.
Excursions and other activities. were not missing either. A fun-filled way to learn!
In this February edition of News by Casvi, you can relive these unique moments and get a detailed look at everything that’s been happening in PYP, MYP, and DP, as well as in sports, the arts, and much more.
