Kindergarten students, together with their parents, prepared a journey through their origins to share everyone’s culture. The classroom was filled with color, presentations, drawings, and meaningful objects with which they took their classmates on a tour of different countries and regions, both inside and outside Spain.
FAMILY AS A FUNDAMENTAL PART OF CASVI
At Casvi International American School Tres Cantos, students are encouraged to discover new ways of understanding the world and to share that which makes them unique. Through these simple stories, each child became an ambassador for their own world.
This day was even more special thanks to to the participation of the families. The parents who were able to attend shared a beautiful moment, creating an atmosphere of collaboration, but also of much learning to being responding to the questions from the children.
In a school where students from more than 30 countries study together, activities like this reflect the International Baccalaureate mindset that is present at all stages. It is important that they celebrate their origins, as well as traditions that we already celebrate at Casvi, such as Chinese New Year or activities like this, where they get to know their classmates better.
At Casvi, learning is growing with others and this cultural journey was an experience that reinforced the identity, companionship and the sense of multiculturalism. An opportunity to celebrate who we are and where we come from.
