INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
International Baccalaureate School
At Casvi International American School, we prepare our students to successfully meet the challenges of the Diploma Programme (DP).
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is recognised worldwide and opens doors to the best universities in the world. It provides students with a stimulating educational experience with a high development of cognitive skills, understanding of different cultures, languages and different points of view.
We offer an international learning environment, following the American educational model and an inquiry-based teaching method. We want our students, when they finish school, to be able to face their university and working life with solvency, following their own path.
In this last stage of school, which is so important for their future, it is normal for many students to feel stress or nervousness. For this reason, at Casvi International American School, we have teaching staff specialised in International Baccalaureate to offer them the support they need.
For us, it is very important that our students feel supported and maintain their enthusiasm to achieve all their goals. Our teachers are in charge of teaching them from the heart, so that they can develop their abilities and skills to the maximum in an environment of enthusiasm.

Casvi International American School is an approved centre for all three International Baccalaureate Programmes. Students have the option to continue with the American Programme and study Grade 11 and Grade 12 or start the International Baccalaureate.
This last stage of the Diploma Program corresponds to our students’ last courses, before they go to university or start their professional career. The aim is to enhance their social, research, thinking, self-management and communication skills so that they leave our school as prepared as possible.
In addition to the official written examination, the student must complete the following activities in order to complete the Diploma Programme:
- Theory of Knowledge: Introduces the student to reflection on the sources of knowledge.
- A monograph (research work): Similar to the university Final Degree Project.
- Creativity, Action and Service Activities (CAS): The student must participate in different individual and group projects, with creative action activities, or sport, and solidarity action.
