Exhibition of personal projects MYP at Casvi

Every year, at the end of the MYP program at Casvi International American School Tres Cantos, there is a public presentation of the personal projects. This showcase highlights the students’ independent work, in which they transform a topic into a real-world project.

A project that marks the closure of MYP

The presentation of personal projects is one of the most anticipated events of the middle school years. Although each student works on a different topic, they all share a common goal: to demonstrate that they are capable of researching, organizing, reflecting, and presenting an individual project developed over several months.

At Casvi, the exhibition of these projects not only marks the conclusion of the MYP but also highlights the students’ ability to work independently, reinforcing skills that will serve them well in the future. The combination of the International Baccalaureate with the American model allows for creativity in every subject, resulting in projects such as MUN organizations or the creation of a sustainable clothing brand.

Personal projects provide students with an opportunity to explore a topic that truly matters to them.It could be a social challenge, a creative product, a scientific investigation or an artistic endeavor. Students plan these projects themselves, manage their own time, and apply the knowledge they have acquired during the PYP and MYP.

The students present their projects to their classmates and families

The exhibition of personal projects is an opportunity for students to show their classmates and families what they have been working on. It will be a space for shared learning, where visitors can ask questions and explore the variety of topics on display.

In this format, students not only demonstrate their knowledge: they also learn to communicate it, defend their decisions, and evaluate the work of their peers. The exhibition also reflects the school’s multiculturalism, as the projects often incorporate international perspectives or solutions to global problems.
