American Early Childhood Education School: Casvi International American School
Nursery schools are very important for children´s educational development. At this stage, children begin to develop their cognitive, emotional, and social skills through play.
At Casvi International American School we offer a complete linguistic and cultural immersion from the age of 0, following the American educational model and basing our project on the IB methodology.
Our American nursery school provides students with the fundamental learning foundation to develop fully in English. We work on early literacy and mathematics following the American model. Additionally, we support learning through swimming, musical, oral, physical, and artistic expression, as well as the development of multiple intelligences and emotional management.
This is the first stage of our educational system before Primary Education. Afterwards, students are better prepared to acces Middle School and High School.
American Nursery School - From 0 to 3 years old
Early schooling from 0 to 3 years of age provides benefits such as better socialization, improved language development, and the acquisition of psychomotor skills. Through music, symbolic play, or role-playing activities, children learn while having fun and almost without realizing it. In addition, English is the language of instruction, given the importance of the child’s first contact with the language.
Within our methodology, the world of emotions is especially important. Emotions are part of each child´s personal growth, and for this reason, in our American nursery school, we work to ensure that children acquire fundamental self-control skills for their future.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
From the age of 3, children enter Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten (pre-school up to the age of 5). This is a very important stage in which the International Baccalaureate (IB) methodology begins to be implemented.
Although this stage of schooling is not compulsory in Spain, kindergarten contributes very positively to the physical, social and intellectual development of children. It has been proven that children who attend early childhood school up to the age of 6 achieve better academic results in the future. This is because, during this period, significant brain development takes place.
At these ages, it is essential for children to inquire and express themselves while receiving a values-based education, with highly qualified and dedicated teachers.
Educational methodology of our Pre-School and Kindergarten School
Physical, musical, and artistic expression, together with sports, are integrated transdisciplinarily into Casvi’s methodology from our American early childhood school.
Sport and physical expression
From the age of 3, our students receive swimming lessons. They also take part in different activities that promote psychomotor development and awareness of their own bodies, with teachers specialized in the psychomotor field.
Musical expression
We encourage stimulation through music from the age of 0, which allows students, from ages 4 and 5, to already be able to create their own musical staffs.
Artistic expression
Through various artistic techniques, students work daily on visual perception, art, and fine motor skills.
A safe family environment
One of our priorities is to maintain a safe and protective space, especially for babies and younger children. In addition to having safe facilities, we maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio so that educators can pay close attention to children’s safety at all times.
