The last week of classes in December is one of the most special and fun weeks at Casvi International American School, since it is Spirit Week! As an American school, we love keeping up with these typical U.S. traditions
Throughout the week, students and teachers are asked to wear a Christmas accessory or outfit. We start the first day with Christmas socks, then move on to outrageous ugly sweaters, cozy and comfy pajamas, a denim outfit, and Christmas-themed hats. You can check out all the looks on our Instagram y Facebook profile.
Additionally, our Grade 4 students were in charge of running the Elf Mail Office. After receiving all the mail, they sorted it by grade and handed it directly to each recipient.
And, as the grand finale to this first term, we held the long-awaited Christmas Festival. Under the theme, ‘Christmas Around the World’, we wanted to bring together all the different traditions celebrated in the homes of Casvi students. Once again, we celebrated and highlighted our multicultural community. More than 30 nationalities come together at our school.
Our students, from Pre-K1 to Grade 7, delighted us with festive dances and songs. We also had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy an amazing performance by our choir.
Additionally, during the event, we met the students who won this year’s edition of the Christmas contest.
As the grand finale to this special gathering, we all enjoyed a delicious (and warm) hot chocolate with churros. One of the most popular winter snacks in Spain.
A Stage Full of Magic
As usual, we want to give a sincere thank you to the Art Department for the amazing work they have done over the past few weeks to create the stage from scratch. We also want to thank our students who worked hard to design every detail, as well as all the parents and teachers who helped set it up.
A Very Special Visit
We also had a very special visit… ¡Santa Claus came to see our Early Childhood and Primary students at school!
During this meeting, they got to chat with him about their Christmas wishes and how well they have behaved this year. They even got to send their letters to the North Pole!
Meanwhile, our Middle School and High School students enjoyed a fun day playing Trivia and watching a Christmas movie.
