Casvi Schools have been awarded with the “Trophy to the Educational Center SegurTIC” in the XVII Trophies of ICT Security organized by ‘Red Seguridad’. This distinction recognizes its outstanding work in the promotion of cybersecurity through various initiatives and workshops that seek to raise awareness among its students about the risks in the digital environment. The ceremony, held in Madrid, brought together leading professionals from the cybersecurity sector.

In addition to the Casvi Schools, the award winners include GuardedBox, Zerolynx, the Foundation for Research of the University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe of the Valencian Community, Xabier Mitxelena, Women4Cyber Spain, General Rafael García Hernández and ‘Angelucho’ (posthumously).

The ceremony, which took place in Madrid, was attended by numerous cybersecurity experts from both the public and private sectors..

Yolanda Duro, director of ‘Red Seguridad’, was in charge of inaugurating the event. In his speech, he stressed that “cybersecurity is not only a responsibility, but an essential necessity”. He added: “Trust is crucial in any relationship and organization, but in this field it is fundamental. All of the awardees are worthy of that trust.”

Educating for an appropriate use of technology

“Cybersecurity is a priority in our schools. We know that protecting our students in the digital environment is vital. That is why we have implemented robust security measures, but we are also aware that the main security gap is the human factor. We must educate children in the proper use of technology, always with the support of families.” , said Juan Luis Yagüe.
