On March 8th the Casvi International American School choir participated in the XV School Choir contest 2019 of the Community of Madrid along with 14 other schools getting the pass for the semifinal.
It was the first qualifying phase in which our choir performed a very original, modern and different repertoire: “This is me” from the movie “The Greatest Showman”, “Uptown funk” by Bruno Mars and “Royals” from the New Zealander singer, Lorde.
Of the 30 participants in our category that have been presented, 10 schools that will measure their musical talent on April 4th at the Getafe Professional Conservatory of Music have moved on to the next phase.
Specifically, the three first best corals are awarded, a prize for the best director, as well as several special mentions. Last year our choir was awarded by the special mention to the interpretive quality.
